1.Nước mắm Nam Ô (Nam O fish sauce )
Nam O fish sauce is a brand name of Nam O beach by its special taste. Located at the foot of Hai Van pass, Nam O village is a small village where the local specialty is producing a tasty fish sauce type from anchovy and Ca Na original salt. The fresh catch of fish will be mixed with Ca Na salt and put into a pottery vat for over several years. The longer they are kept in Vats, the more delicious the taste becomes. After a certain point, they turn into dark redfish sauce and the delicious aroma seeps into the air. However, it is a little bit difficult to use once opened for the first time.

2.Chả Bò (grilled beef)
It is well-known as a specialty of Da Nang and loved by lots of people over the world who visit Da Nang. Cha Bo is made from fresh beef mixed with many spices like salt, sugar, scallion, fish sauce… and then they are tightly wrapped up in banana leaves. It has a particular pink color and a good smell.

3.Tré Bà Đệ (Tre Ba De)
Another dish made from pork – Tre Ba De. This specialty is quite famous with the locals as it has been here for many centuries but only few foreigners know about it. People use it like a snack and some occasions also. Tre Ba De is made from meat and pig skin mixed with galingale and garlic and then wrapped by banana leaves and guava leaves. The mixture will be kept together for 2-3 days to create its characteristic sour taste before use.

4.Rong biển Mỹ Khê (My Khe seaweeds)
It is said that don’t judge a book by its cover. That is true for My Khe seaweeds. It is not eye-catching for its appearance but really good for the quality because of its high nutritional value. My Khe seaweeds have become popular gifts for tourists. If you come to Da Nang, don’t miss out on this specialty.

5.Marble handicrafts
This is another specialty you should buy in Da Nang. Marble handicrafts are seen as the symbol of Non Nuoc stone village and Da Nang as well. Keeping a small statue of Buddha, Saint, God or even jewelry by stone in your bag is a great memento to take home. I bet you have to say “wow” when you really see the skillful, colorful and talented works of art made from stone. They are extremely beautiful. Just traveling around Non Nuoc stone village to watch and buy them at every shop on the side of the street.
