Best Free Things to Do in Da Nang

Hey, Welcome to our land!!!

Da Nang is a fantastic city with many beautiful landscapes, good seafood, and super friendly locals. In this post, I will show you the must-visit sights that won’t cost a cent! Follow me 😉

1. The city of Bridges

The bridges have become famous destinations that attract a million travelers to Da Nang. There are up to 10 bridges crossing the romantic Han Rver, however, I recommend visiting the following bridges which are the most beautiful in Da Nang.

Han bridge

This is the first rotating bridge designed and built by Vietnamese engineers and is the only rotating bridge in Vietnam. Want to see the Han bridge rotation?  Well you can on the weekdays, it will open at 1 am and close just before 2 am. On weekends, it will be open from 11 pm to 12 am.

Dragon bridge

Located in the city center, the Dragon bridge has a modern edifice, with the design of the dragon head facing eastwards, the special point is that this bridge can spray fire and water. To catch sight of this, you should come on the weekend, Saturday or Sunday at 21:00, there will spray fire first the make water after that.

Love bridge

Located close to the dragon bridge, you can visit this romantic bridge. In the evening, hundreds of red heart-shaped lanterns are alight, shining on the water to create an extremely romantic scene here. This is an ideal rendezvous for couples and dreamers.

2. Heaven on Monkey Mountain

Monkey Mountain is known as a precious jewel of Da Nang. With its various flora and fauna population. It has a view of a mountain on one side and a peaceful sea on the other side with the winding roads leading  to many of the  tourist attractions in the area.

Chessboard Peak

This place is known as the “roof”, where you can immerse yourself in nature at an altitude of 700m, the road to Chessboard Peak also makes you want to take great photos. If you go early in the morning when the city is still early in the fog and catch dawn, you will experience one side of the blue sea shimmering with golden light and on the other side is the leaf of grass and trees.

Linh Ung Pagoda

This is one of the most beautiful of the three “Linh Ung” temples in Da Nang. The most outstanding feature of the pagoda is the 67-meter-high statue of Quan The Am, overlooking the sea. In the statue, there are 17 floors with each floor altar worshiping a total of 21 Buddha statues of different postures.  At night, it illuminates the night sky.

Monkey Mountain By Night

Discover the scenic view of the city at night, Monkey Mountain is an ideal place for this. Take a motorbike ride at night in the streets full of lights, take a seat at the top of the mountain and get a sweeping view of the city. A good recommendation for tourists who like adventure activities.

3. My Son Holy Land

Located around 40 minutes drive from Da Nang. You can drive by yourself. This is the most magnificent and quintessential relic of Champa, built over a period of 1000 years. It consists of several temples – towers constructed between 7th and 13th century AD. Each stage of the history of the Champa kingdom is reflected by the towers. If you like ancient architecture and want to explore by motorbike, don’t miss this interesting place.

4. One of the beautiful beaches in the world

Da Nang Beach is truly beautiful and must be visited!! it very clean and nice. Throughout the day, you can enjoy activities here such as volleyball, football, surfing and swimming. Sunbathing is also very popular here.
